Introduction

The IFIP-IFAC Task Force on Enterprise Integration operates as a joint effort between IFIP (WG5.12) and IFAC (TC MIA) that form the respective IFIP and IFAC arms of the Task Force.

The Task Force carries out its work through voluntary contributions of its members, who obtain funding through their respective institutional, private or government channels.

The Task Force has mandates for defined periods and tasks, and produces its results in form of reports and other publications in the open literature, or recommendations for standards bodies. Since the IFIP and IFAC World congresses are one year apart, the confirmation of the Task Force mandate is usually done in two consecutive years.
