Our vision is to be recognised in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as world class researchers in organisational modelling and its application to systems that facilitate planned organisational change and enable the rapid design and deployment of Military Command, Control and Communications - C3 - systems.

Through the conception and use of virtual configurations of the organisation our role is also to advise and support the ADF C3I in change management processes for the design and use of C3I systems of systems based on distributed component based architectures.

In order to achieve our vision our strategies are as follows.

• To model in soft systems and software, organisational and business requirements, utilising research on organisational behaviour and change.
• To predict and assess the organisational impacts of the introduction of new human and technological systems into the ADF's C3I joint organisation with the aim of allowing planned change management.
• To extend, shape and trial models in collaboration with selected C3I Joint ADF customers.
• To demonstrate concepts in case studies that utilise mature services and application components available on distributed networks together with selected ADF customers.
