Responses from people
The following are responses I have recieved from the network about
the Twisty Tube Plan and their results and modifications.
Many thanks to all who have replied.

- At last, I started to build the Twisty Tube variant. Its not yet been
finished, but I remebered your "test" with the vacuum cleaner to see if
the design works. And it does...

Anthony's Reply... I like the way you inserted a flat 'ribbon'
between the lobes of the tube. Very smart looking.

- After unfinished in the cabinet for years today the first flight took
place of the twisted tube tail variation we have discussed earlier. Here
is an unedited video, I just wanted you to share the result. Maybe I
should change the inlet to have it twisting more regularly. Anyway; just
have a look!

Anthony's Reply... I Think it needs to be longer to stop it
flapping so much, and thus stopping it twisting around.

- Geez, did I make this tube 9 years ago?! Time flies when having ehh...
kids...
You're right that a longer tail would turn smoother. The wind was
horrible that day, the (box) kite went up and down and so the tail did.
Not a suitable situation for an impressive demonstration. I will test
the tail in more steady wind. Perhaps I should add some length: the
first windings will sure be in the turbulence zone just behind the air
inlet. They do not contribute the spinning force.
The swivel is OK, I suspect the turbulent wind conditions caused this
performance.
To be continued, earlier than 9 years ;-)

- I'm a kiteflyer from germany an found your tube tail plans a long time ago
at your website. But at the beginning of this year I got the idea to build
my own one. first - to study how it works - I built one from faric of an
old nylon tent. the result was satisfying me.
The next step was to build a 3 colour double twisted bulge tube. the
result is a very nice tube tail which loooks very well in the air.
Thank you very much for offering the plan to use.
Much windy greatings from germany
Again many thanks to all who have followed this plan and responded.
Especially those which included any hints and tips they found while
building.
