Accomodation and Hotel Arrangements for the Conference
Conference information

The conference will be held at the Southbank campus of Griffith University.  This campus in very close to Brisbane’s central business district (CBD) so most CBD hotels are walking distance or easily accessible to the venue by public transport.

Please find some links that will help you get around Brisbane.
If you can only get a hotel in the Brisbane CBD, the best (and cheapest) way to get to the Southbank Campus is to walk to the King George Square bus station (next to the city hall) and catch the 333 bus to the Southbank Cultural centre bus stop.  It is then a short walk to the Griffith University Southbank campus.

We are delighted to announce a special issue of the Journal of Operations Management titled “Culture, Development, and OM Viewpoints in Asia”. This exciting special issue offers an opportunity to include and showcase empirical research focused on a dynamic part of the global business community. We encourage you to consider developing work for consideration for this special issue, details of which are given below. We will be announcing one or two additional special issues in the coming 2-4 months. We feel that specialissues offer an opportunity to showcase research in focused and emerging areas. Submission Instructions
Calls

All papers must be written in English. Please follow the instructions below to complete the submission.

  1. To facilitate our double-blind review process, each submission must enter the paper information and abstract online:
    1. author(s),
    2. affiliation(s),
    3. complete addresses, telephone/fax numbers, and email address of one author to whom all correspondence should be addressed,
    4. title of the paper, and
    5. selected topic area.
    Then, you must upload the file your abstract or full paper in PDF format. Your abstract or full paper must NOT contain any author information.
  2. Abstracts should be 2 pages at most. Panel proposals are treated as abstracts; it must include a list of panelists and are limited to 3 pages. Full papers are limited to 20 pages (8000 words), not including tables or figures. All submissions will be double-blind refereed by independent reviewers on rolling basis.
  3. All submissions, in PDF format only, must be submitted via the Online Submission hyperlink option available at this homepage. All submissions must be received on or before March 31, 2008. Notification of acceptance will be sent within 4-6 weeks of submission receipt, or May 1, 2008, whichever is sooner.
  4. Camera-ready full papers or abstracts for publication in the conference proceedings must be in the PDF format and must be received by May 15, 2008. Each registered author can publish only 8 pages in the proceedings. Extra pages will be charged for additional cost. Author with multiple papers must pay for the total number of pages beyond the 8-page limit. Detailed paper format can be downloaded from the hyperlink below.

  5. Paper presenter's online registration and conference payment in full (including authors, session chairs, and panelists) must be received on or before May 15, 2008 to validate one's attendance as a presenter at APDSI 2008. Presenters who do not remit payment and online registration before May 15, 2008 will not be eligible to orally present papers. Authors are required to personally attend the conference to present their papers.
  6. Accepted papers/abstracts will be published in English in the conference proceedings in CD-ROM.

I would like to invite you to Brisbane, Australia to attend the 13th APSDI conference. This conference will be hosted by Griffith University through the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems research centre and the Griffith Business School.

The conference will be staged at the SouthBank campus of Griffith University which is right beside the city’s central business district. The conference organisers will closely work with Brisbane Marketing to help with the social side of the conference.
